RAW General Manager Adam Pearce kept his 4th of July traditions simple this year—clean the grill, toast to America, and crush a beer.
Pearce took to Instagram to share a backyard video celebrating the holiday, complete with a little help from modern technology and an old-school chug to wrap things up.
In the clip, Pearce joked about his tendency to procrastinate and introduced fans to his new secret weapon for grill duty.
“From me and mine to you and yours. Happy 4th of July. If you’re like me, you’re lazy and wait till the last minute to do everything. So on the morning of the 4th or you know, it’s like 11:30. I’m just now getting to clean the grill and today I have a friend helping me do it. I present Grillbot. Let’s see if this thing works.”
The video showed the Grillbot working away, scrubbing the grill while Pearce waited to see if it lived up to the hype. Ten minutes later, Pearce returned for the big reveal.
“All right, it’s been 10 minutes. Let’s see what Grillbot did. Oh, sh*t, not bad. Grillbot ready to barbecue.”
But Pearce wasn’t done celebrating. The video closed with the WWE exec standing by the pool, raising a can of beer, and giving a final shoutout to the country.
“But first, here’s to you, America.”
Pearce then tipped his head back and chugged the beer, closing the video with classic 4th of July energy.
