Sky Sports have announced their TV picks for August – September 2025 in the Championship.

All 12 matches on the opening weekend of 8-10 August will be broadcast live across Sky Sports in line with the current contract, starting with Birmingham City’s season-opener against Ipswich Town which were confirmed when the season’s fixture list came out.

Sky have since confirmed their picks for the remainder of August and September, with notable highlights including Wrexham’s first home game of the season against West Brom on Saturday 16 August at 12:30pm BST.

Last season’s two relegated Premier League teams will collide at Portman Road on Sunday 17 August at 12pm as Ipswich meet Southampton, with both teams tipped to fight for promotion this season.

The broadcaster two weeks later will air two huge regional derbies as Leicester host Birmingham on 29 August at 8pm in a Midlands clash, before Middlesbrough face Sheffield Utd in a Yorkshire derby – as much as it is debatable amongst Boro fans.

September’s Championship action kicks off at Portman Road as Ipswich meet Sheffield United on 12 September in a 8pm kick-off, following the international break.

That weekend also sees London and South Coast derbies as Charlton host Millwall in a South-London showdown on 13 September at 12:30pm, before Southampton entertain Portsmouth at 12pm on 14 September.

September’s live action concludes with two blockbuster Midlands derbies as West Brom meet Leicester on Friday 26 September at 8pm, before Coventry face Birmingham on Saturday 27 September at 12:30pm.
