IND vs ENG: In the second Test match being played at Edgbaston, the historic innings of Indian opener and captain Shubman Gill has put England in deep trouble. Gill’s stormy innings of 161 runs in the second innings and the initial setbacks of the Indian bowlers have pushed the host team on the backfoot. On the last day, England still has to score 536 runs to win while they have only seven wickets left.

🏏 Historic Test performance of Shubman Gill at Edgbaston!

25-year-old Shubman Gill created a new record by scoring 161 runs in just 162 balls in the second innings. He scored a total of 430 runs with 269 runs scored in the first innings, which is the highest score for India in a Test. Earlier this record was in the name of Sunil Gavaskar.

Gill is now second in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs in a Test, ahead of him only Graham Gooch who scored 456 runs against India in 1990.

India declared at 427/7, setting a mammoth target of 608 for England. In reply, England crumbled early as Siraj and Akash Deep removed Crawley, Duckett, and Joe Root inside 11 overs!

Can England chase 536 more runs, or will India level the series 1-1?
