England are looking to finish their opening six months under Thomas Tuchel with four wins from four games, whilst Senegal look to avoid defeat – excluding penalties – for a 22nd consecutive match.
England have no fresh injury concerns to report although manager, Tuchel is set to rotate his squad after he was left “not happy” with their scruffy win over Andorra.
Senegal also have no fresh injury concerns to report after a 1-1 friendly draw against Republic of Ireland.
England host Senegal at the City Ground, Nottingham, on Tuesday 10 June at 7:45pm BST, live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.
Despite their dominance away to Andorra, England simply lacked much intensity, desire or motivation aside from Noni Madueke and Jude Bellingham, which was a huge worry because they should of won far more comfortably and has given a chance for fringe players to lay a marker here.
Senegal though are a strong side with players like Idrissa Gueye, Ismaila Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr, Nicolas Jackson and Iliman Ndiaye familiar to England’s squad, who will know one another’s strengths which should make for some interesting battles amidst their impressive unbeaten run outside of penalties.
England though need to at least produce a more energetic performance in terms of pace and press with composed finishing, but Senegal do feel like they should have enough to frustrate the hosts and nick a draw.
Prediction: England 1-1 Senegal
