The Miz is officially on his way back to WWE. After spending the last several weeks filming the American Gladiators reboot for Amazon Prime, production has wrapped—and his WWE return is now just a matter of time.
According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, filming on the show wrapped up two full seasons, clearing Miz’s schedule to head back to WWE programming.
During his time away, The Miz made it clear that despite online rumors, his status with WWE hasn’t changed. After reports circulated claiming he unfollowed WWE and wiped his profiles, he shut down the speculation, reminding fans he’s still very much part of the company.
“WWE and I are in very good standings. Like, we just dropped Miz Golf, which is part of WWE’s YouTube,” he explained in a video while traveling to Gladiators tapings.
Before stepping away to film, Miz was locked in a feud with Aleister Black. His last match took place on the May 2 episode of SmackDown, where Black picked up the win.
The new American Gladiators reboot also features several familiar wrestling faces, including Wardlow, Kamille, Eric Bugenhagen (fka Rick Boogs), Jessica Roden, and Jessie Godderz joining the cast.
With filming now complete, it’s only a matter of time before Miz steps back into a WWE ring—and fans will be watching to see what he does next.
