Randy Orton was ready to compete against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41 but that’s no longer happening after Owens confirmed he will undergo neck surgery. While many are wondering if Orton will have a match at WrestleMania 41, his current status has been revealed.
While speaking during the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on WrestleBinge, JoeyVotes and TC reported that Randy Orton is still expected to compete at WrestleMania 41, even though his original match was canceled, but they have yet to determine his opponent.
During the April 4 episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens shared with fans that he’s been dealing with neck problems since January, and they’ve finally reached the point where he needs surgery. Unfortunately, this means he’ll be out of action just as he was supposed to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania. The segment ended with Orton hitting SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis with an RKO, as fans were wondering about his status for WrestleMania 41.
So far, NXT Superstar Myles Borne recently made it clear he is free during WrestleMania 41 and is more than willing to face off against The Apex Predator at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Randy Orton’s star power means WWE will make sure he gets a worthy opponent. With WrestleMania 41 coming up next week, fans can likely expect news very soon about who will step up to face The Apex Predator on the grandest stage of them all.
