Full-back, Tariq Lamptey has signed a new one-year contract extension at Brighton & Hove Albion until June 2026.
Lamptey was set to be out of contract at the end of this month but has agreed a fresh one-year contract extension, which will keep him at the Seagulls until June 2026.
Head Coach, Fabian Hürzeler has welcomed Lamptey’s new contract after the 24 year-old achieved his best goal-scoring season under his watch this season, which saw Lamptey score three goals in 20 appearances amidst various injury issues.
“We’re delighted Tariq is staying with us. He wants to help the team achieve our targets and gives us great options in wide areas.
“We are looking forward to Tariq being part of our journey next season.”
Lamptey joined Brighton from Chelsea in January 2020 and has gone on to contribute five goals and 12 assists in 122 appearances.
