John Cena has seen his fair share of jaw-dropping WWE entrances, but when it comes to the greatest of all time, the 16-time world champion says there’s only one name that belongs at the top—Stone Cold Steve Austin.
During his appearance on GOAT Talk with Idris Elba, Cena was asked to pick the best WWE entrance ever. He didn’t even hesitate, immediately giving credit to the Texas Rattlesnake for having the most unforgettable walk to the ring in wrestling history.
Cena broke it down with all the signature elements that made Austin’s entrance legendary.
“I got to go with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Glass breaks, beer… Sometimes motor vehicles are involved, leather vest… He does also wear the jorts.”
The sound of glass shattering, the roar of the crowd, and Austin storming to the ring with a cooler of beers (or sometimes driving in on a Zamboni) became one of the most iconic parts of WWE history. Cena’s playful jab about the jorts adds even more fun, considering he’s worn his fair share of denim himself.
It’s clear that even with all Cena has accomplished in the wrestling world, he still gives Stone Cold his flowers for building one of the most unforgettable entrances of all time.
