Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians was named the Player of the Tournament (Most Valuable Player) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Tuesday.
The India T20 skipper earned 320.5 MVP points over 16 matches. He hit 69 fours and 38 sixes in this edition of the IPL. He also took six catches that contributed to the batter moving to the top of the leaderboard.
Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans, who eventually won the Orange Cap, trailed Suryakumar by 9.5 points.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine, who has bagged the said honour the most, having been named the Player of the Tournament in 2024, 2018, and 2012, finished sixth on this year’s standings with 270.5 points.
