Jakara Jackson was released from WWE last month and in the last 30 days, she rebranded herself in a big way. Fans have been wondering how she used that time to truly reinvent herself as Mara Sadè.
While speaking to WrestleZone, Mara Sadè talked about the last 30 days before her WWE non-compete clause ended on June 1. She said she used that time to get ready for a fresh start with a new name and image.
The former Jakara Jackson said the month was crazy and she didn’t know what to expect, but she stayed busy and focused. Instead of sitting around, she worked hard behind the scenes to make sure everything was ready for when the 30 days were up. Mara called it a full rebrand and said she’s excited for whatever comes next.
“These last 30 days have been absolutely wild to be honest. I didn’t know what to expect, but I’m like, it’s in the name — I’m a go-getter. So I’m never going to be sitting down doing nothing. Literally for the past 30 days, I’ve been getting my ducks in a row. I’ve been grinding. I’ve been working hard in the background just to prepare for the end of the 30 days, which is today. I don’t know when this is going to air, but like — June 1st basically. I’ve just been doing a lot of things in the background to prepare for this time because this is a whole rebrand for me and it’s exciting, to be honest. So I’m really happy to be doing whatever the hell it is on my plate that I’m gonna be doing.”
Mara Sadè is more than determined to prove to the world that she isn’t complacent and that WWE was just wrong to release her before she could realize her true potential as a wrestler.
Mara is already accepting bookings on the independent wrestling scene since her no-compete clause expired on June 1st, so we’ll have to wait and see how 2025 will turn out for the highly talented wrestler.
