F2 and F3 have unveiled their 2026 season calendars, featuring the addition of Madrid.
F2 has broadly named a similar calendar to this season except for Imola which has been dropped from the calendar likewise in F1 and F3, instead replaced by a trip to Madrid, Spain on weekend of 11-13 September.
The season will kick off with a trip to Melbourne, Australia from 6-8 March before Bahrain and Saudi form the first double-header in mid-April on weekends of 10-12 and 17-19 April respectively.
F2 won’t race in May due to F1 heading to North America for Miami and Canadian Grands Prix, meaning that the season will recommence with Monaco, Barcelona, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium, Hungary and Italy from 4 June to 6 September,
Those seven rounds have consequently bumped up a spot compared to the 2025 calendar due to Imola’s removal, which has allowed Madrid to become the 11th round of the season before the European jaunt ends in Azerbaijan on weekend of 25-27 September.
F2 then faces another lull as the category takes a two-month break before accompanying F1 to the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix on weekends of 27-29 November and 4-6 December to wrap up the season.
F1 President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali has welcomed the F2 calendar which he believes will test the grid with a variety of different circuits.
“2026 is going to be a great season, with exciting action, as the drivers take on the ultimate circuits, all of which have different challenges to test their skills and their abilities.”

F3 will have ten rounds once again like in 2025 with the season starting in Melbourne, before heading to Bahrain in the opening two rounds.
Imola’s removal has consequently meant that trips to Monaco, Barcelona, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium, Hungary and Italy have been bumped up a spot, in-turn meaning that Monza, Italy, will no longer host the season finale as has been traditional since 2022.
Madrid on its F3 debut instead will play host to the season-finale from 11-13 September.
Upon confirmation of the calendar which sees F3 continue to support F1 on selected race weekends, Domenicali believes that the F3 calendar will test “not only the drivers’ technical aptitude, but also their mental and physical resilience, which is so critical for our sport.”
