Mitchell Starc became the first Delhi Capitals pacer to pick up a five-wicket haul during the team’s IPL 2025 encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
The Australian pacer finished with figures of 5 for 35 to help his side bowl out the Sunrisers for 163 in the penultimate over of the first innings. The best bowling figures by a Delhi Capitals bowler belongs to Amit Mishra who picked up five for 17 against the Deccan Chargers in 2008.
The five-wicket haul was also Starc’s first in the IPL, improving upon his previous best figures of 4/15 he recorded during the 2015 season.
