RC Lens Sporting Director, Martin Ericcson, has shared his excitement after completing the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Jeremy Agbonifo.
Agbonifo first joined the French Ligue 1 side on loan from Swedish club BK Häcken for the second half of last season. During his six-month stay, the young forward impressed the coaching staff and fans with his performances on the pitch.
Following his strong showing, Lens decided to trigger the purchase option included in his loan deal.
“Jeremy perfectly represents the kind of player we want to develop at this club,” Ericcson said. “His signing shows that our model is working — both in football terms and financially.”
Agbonifo had two stints with BK Häcken and was also previously part of Portuguese giants FC Porto’s youth setup.
