Aston Villa look to continue their top-five push against top-eight chasing Fulham at Villa Park.
Victory would lift seventh-placed Villa closer towards their rivals in the race for a top-five finish, whilst Fulham will stay eighth with a win.
Team News
Villa will be without Marcus Rashford again after he missed their FA Cup semi-final exit against Crystal Palace, having picked up a hamstring injury prior to the game.
Fulham could be without defender, Antonee Robinson who has struggled with a knee injury in recent matches.
Rodrigo Muniz (Achilles) and Reiss Nelson (hamstring) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Villa host Fulham at Villa Park on Saturday 3 May at 12:30pm BST, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Aston Villa have won six of their last seven meetings against Fulham (W6, L1).
- Fulham have claimed four points in their last five Premier League visits to Villa (W1, D1, L3)
- Unai Emery’s Villains have beaten Fulham by a 3-1 result in two of their last three meetings.
- Villa have lost just one of their five top-flight matches at home to London-based opposition this season (W2, D2, L1).
- No Fulham player has produced more assists this season than Antonee Robinson (10).
Prediction
Having produced a pretty toothless performance at Wembley for all of their second-half fight, Villa just need to reset and get straight back on the winning saddle if they want to push for a top-five finish with a more polished final touch.
Fulham meanwhile mounted a solid fightback to beat Southampton after a pretty sluggish first-half display but given their form at Villa, they will need to be more clinical if they want to keep eighth place in their own hands.
As much as my instinct feels like this will be a draw, I can see Villa producing the ideal response to nick this.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Fulham
