Guide to the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League Final which sees PSG meet Inter Milan in the showpiece decider.
Victory would see PSG claim a first Champions League title, whilst Inter are chasing a fourth title in this competition – including the European Cup era.
Teams
PSG have no fresh injury issues to report with only Presnel Kimpembe ruled out due to a right foot injury.
Inter will welcome Lautaro Martinez back from a hamstring injury which had kept the Argentinean out since their semi-final win over Barcelona.
Benjamin Pavard (ankle) and Yann Bisseck (knee/ankle) are doubts for selection.
When is Kick-Off?
PSG meet Inter Milan at Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany, on Saturday 31 May at 9pm CEST (8pm UK Time), live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is PSG’s first Champions League meeting against Inter Milan.
- Inter have lost just one of five previous Champions League games against French opposition when played as the ‘away’ team (W3, D1, L1).
- PSG are the sixth different French team that Inter have faced in the Champions League (including the European Cup era).
- Four of Ousmane Dembele’s eight Champions League goals for PSG this season came in the knockout stages, although he failed to score in both legs of their Quarter-Final against Aston Villa.
- Inter Milan have kept just one clean sheet in the knockout stages (W4, D2), which came in a 2-0 away win at Feyenoord in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.
Prediction
After a fairly shaky league phase, PSG certainly found their groove in the knockout stage with a superbly organised defence and clinical attacking press, which swept aside Brest before seeing them past Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal in three gutsy ties to this showpiece.
Inter meanwhile enjoyed a strong campaign and although they often scraped victories in the league phase, their attack found its gear in the knockout stages with plenty of goals and a stronger attacking intensity which certainly showed in a scrappy semi-final against Barcelona despite their defensive fragilities.
As easy as it might be to think that the attacking styles of both teams will cancel each other out and result in a single-goal winner, I do think that we will see some goals and personally I can see Inter edging this if can cut out the defensive errors.
Prediction: PSG 1-2 Inter Milan
